Laser Hair Removal
Laser hair removal provides long-lasting results by targeting the hair follicle with an intense pulsating beam of light and destroying it. The laser works by selectively targeting melanin (dark pigment) in your hair. By selectively targeting melanin, the laser finds the hair follicle and heats it until it is destroyed permanently.
Some common areas we treat include:
Laser hair removal is a faster, more effective way to remove hair compared to outdated technologies like electrolysis. Laser hair removal is much less painful than electrolysis. It also has the ability to target multiple hair follicles at the same time, while electrolysis can only target one follicle at a time.
Most individuals will require at least 4-5 hair removal treatments to significantly reduce hair growth in the treatment area. This is because the hair grows in 3 different phases: anagen, catagen and telogen. The best time to destroy your hair follicle is during the anagen stage, when hair is at its darkest. Your appointments will be scheduled 4-6 weeks apart to ensure we are treating hair during the anagen phase of hair growth.
The length of each treatment varies depending on the treatment area—while small areas like the upper lip take less than 30 minutes to treat, large areas like the back can take more than an hour. After your treatment, you may experience some redness and swelling, but you won’t need any downtime.
